Description

In MDAM issue #2, Kofi, our hero, is learning how to control his powers of maritime domain awareness to help support his family. He is building his partnership with Esi, who is engaging with local politicians, urging them to do more to protect marine resources and build the blue economy. She is also taking direct action on her own, sending her drone out to track illegal fishing operations and discovering a horrible secret about Kofi's family in the process. By the end of the issue, Kofi and Esi have solidified their partnership and are ready to team up to save the seas.

Author Bio

Nick Tomb is an educator, nature lover and author. With cultural curiosity and an appetite for adventure, he has found his way in the world promoting peace and security, conflict resolution, military professionalism, gender equality, social justice, and environmental protection. A California native, he lives in Monterey, CA with his wife and daughter. Inspired by the dedication of people around the world who commit themselves to protect the oceans and make human activity on the seas more safe and secure, he published his first graphic novel, The Adventures of Maritime Domain Awareness Man--issues #1 and #2-- in 2023.
