Description

There are few places more dangerous than Apokolips, but Superman never turns away from those who need help. The downtrodden slaves of the planet, known as the Lowlies, are ready to throw off their shackles in this comics and chapter book hybrid. But first Superman and the freedom fighters must battle Darkseid's forces to ensure the slaves' freedom. They'll face Parademons, Female Furries, and the most fearsome villain in the universe Darkseid himself. Is Superman strong enough to defeat the evil super-villain, or are some challenges too great for even the Man of Steel

Reviews

The highlight of this series is definitely the 12 pages of comic art that is provided by Luciano Vecchio in both volumes. His art takes a lot of inspiration from Bruce Timm's Superman the Animated Series in style, colors, and tone, from Lex Luthor's devious smirk to Superman's super powered heroics. . . .I can see these books being really popular with young superhero enthusiasts looking to get their next comic book fix. . . .kids will enjoy the quick pace and comic pages. They can also be used as a teaching tool for helping kids to learn how to follow comic art and how to switch back and forth from regular text to text boxes.-- "No Flying, No Tights"
