Recreating the castle's past from the Medieval to the Edwardian ages, five rising stars from the UK comics scene (Isaac Lenkiewicz, Briony May Smith, William Exley, Becky Palmer and Isabel Greenberg) have illustrated five short stories that mix fiction with fact, creating a visually striking graphic collection that is steeped in historical context.
Jamie Rhodes is a London based writer working in screen, prose, and comics. He studied Philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he focused on Heidegger and Phenomenology. He later trained as a script reader and co-founded the filmmaking collective, Donkey Stone Films, in Nottingham. He has been supported by EM Media, IdeasTap, Arvo Foundation, Spread the Word and the Arts Council England. He is the author Dead Men's Teeth, launched by the British Library in 2014. Isabel Greenberg is an award-winning is a British graphic novelist and illustrator. Her first book, The Encyclopedia of Early Earth, was published in 2013 by Jonathan Cape in the UK, Little Brown in the US and Random House in Canada.
