Kazune Kawahara made her debut in 1991 with the manga series His Favorite Person. In 1996, after publishing several one-shot manga, she began her next series, Sensei! (Teacher!), which was adapted into a live-action movie in 2017. In 2003, she launched the critically acclaimed series High School Debut, followed by Aozora Yell (Blue Sky Yell) in 2008.
