England's Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning have a long history of collaborations - including Marvel's Force Works and Punisher, DC's Legion of Super-Heroes and Majestic, and various Star Trek projects. Abnett has also written more than 30 best-selling Warhammer 40,000 novels and various Marvel U.K. titles, including Death's Head and Knights of Pendragon. Lanning is also a veteran inker who has lent his talents to such series as Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men. Together, they are responsible for galvanizing Marvel's contemporary genre of cosmic comics with the Annihilation and War of Kings events, and series such as Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy. The pair is equally at home with more terrestrial fare - including Iron Man/Thor, and Heroes for Hire and its sequel Villains for Hire.
