Description

Once upon a time, the world's greatest heroine was reimagined by a comic book legend. Once upon a time, the world's greatest heroine was reimagined by a comic book legend. George Perez masterfully reinvigorates the legend of the world's original warrior princess. This collection of 1980s tales begins as Wonder Woman battles Silver Swan at a charity fair. And while Zeus plans for the Olympian gods to find a new home among the stars, the Amazons decide to open their island home of Themyscira to visitors for the first time ever. Plus, the murder of one of Wonder Woman's closest mortal associates is investigated by the Boston police as Hermes appears on Earth to make more trouble for Wonder Woman.

Author Bio

George Prez started drawing at the age of five and hasn't stopped since. Born on June 9, 1954, Prez started his professional comics career as an assistant to Rich Buckler in 1973. After establishing himself as a penciller at Marvel Comics, Prez first came to DC in 1980, where his highly detailed art style was seen in such titles as JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA and FIRESTORM THE NUCLEAR MAN. After co-creating THE NEW TEEN TITANS with Marv Wolfman in 1980, Prez and Wolfman collaborated again on the landmark miniseries CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS. In the midst of the post-crisis revamps, Prez revitalized WONDER WOMAN and as the series' writer and artist, he not only reestablished Wonder Woman as one of DC's preeminent characters, but also brought in some of the best sales the title has ever experienced.
