Theseus, prince of Athens, awakens injured and bound inside an unknown hut. Facing him stands his captor - a mighty, bull-headed man! There, at the centre of the labyrinth built by engineer Dedalus for the king of Crete, Minos, Theseus is astonished to discover that the blood-thirsty monster that the legends describe is in fact a rational being named Asterios, who begins to recount the story of his life. Between the young Athenian sacrifice and the feared creature, grudging respect emerges...
Serge Le Tendre is one of the big names of Bandes Dessines. He took classes from masters such as Mzires (Valerian & Laureline) and Giraud/Moebius, alongside other stalwarts of the medium as Juillard (Blake & Mortimer) and Loisel, and is the authors of unforgettable series La qute de l'oiseau du temps and Jerome K. Jerome Bloche. Frdric Peynet claims Rosinski (Thorgal) as one of his main sources of inspiration; he is the illustrator of several series including Les contes du Korrigan and Le Feul.
