But a routine case catapults him into the middle of a profound mystery: a young girl with no official existence gives him a photograph of a group of people ... who don't exist either! As he doggedly digs deeper despite the pressure, obstacles and threats that soon pile against him, he comes across a terrible secret that threatens the very foundations of his world ...
Jean Van Hamme was born in 1939 in Belgium. His major breakthrough came in 1977, when he created the Viking hero Thorgal for Grzegorz Rosinski. The mix of medieval legends and heroic fantasy soon became a huge success, with major awards following. He is also the creator of the bestselling series Largo Winch and XIII(published in English by Cinebook). Belgian artist Griffo (Werner Goelen) has worked with some of the greatest names in bandes dessines, but his most fruitful partnership was with Jean Dufaux (Lament of the Lost Moors), producing series such as Giacomo C.
