Bob de Groot took over the very successful Clifton series, originally created by Raymond Macherot In 1972. Turk also collaborated with de Groot on the Robin Dubois series, a hugely successful parody of Robin Hood. The pair also created Leonard, a series based on Leonardo da Vinci.
