Off the coast of Palombia, a freighter is at anchor, immobilised by mysterious engine trouble. It is transporting the Zabaglione Circus and its main attraction: a black Marsupilami! When the animal escapes thanks to a kind clown, he finds himself in the middle of a jungle he has never known. And as if helping out this clumsy newcomer wasn't enough for the local Marsupilami family, they also have to face the march of progress, as a highway is built through their home!
Andr Franquin was as important and influential throughout his career as Herg, moulding and training dozens of artists through his long years at Spirou magazine. Creator of the Marsupilami and of Gomer Goof, he was in charge of Spirou & Fantasio for 20 years. Yann is known for his ferocious humour and his enduring cynicism; he's one of the most essential writers of the comics scene, with over 50 series under his belt. A Belgian artist and colourist, Batem was chosen by Franquin to illustrate the solo adventures of his favourite animal, the Marsupilami.
