Could the words of Zona's restless spirit be trusted And would they lead authorities to a cold-blooded killer Young readers will find out in this easy-to-read ghostly graphic novel that will send shivers down their spines!
This series boasts crowd-pleasing graphic novels about real ghostly legends. The titles in "Ghostly Graphics" tell chilling ghost stories, taken from real tales of ghost sightings from the 1800s to today. Notable is the story of the haunted doll Annabelle, though fans of the films about her will notice some distinct differences. End matter of each graphic novel discusses the history of the legend around each ghost and attempts to disprove them, especially the sightings by the Warrens, a famous and controversial paranormal investigator couple. Historical, paranormal, and crime vocabulary are covered in glossaries. VERDICT An easy sell for emerging readers and horror fans alike.--Jeri Murphy, Illinois Central College, Peoria, IL "School Library Journal"
Jarred Lujan is a Mexican-American comic writer from the borderlands of Texas. He's a 2019 Mad Cave Studios Talent Search winner and a member of the inaugural 2022 DC Milestone Initiative class. Aside from writing, Jarred spends his time trying to convince his cats to be nice to him (his dog remains as loyal as ever). Alessandro Valdrighi was born by the sea in 1980 in beautiful Castiglione della Pescaia, Italy. He studied at the prestigious Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts) in Florence and graduated with a Bachelor's degree as a set designer. Alessandro learned to draw at an early age by copying comics and illustrations from books. He believes this is the reason he is now successful using multiple art styles. Alessandro has worked as a cartoonist, illustrator, and concept artist in both traditional and digital media. In 2011 he won a prize for his work on Lgrimas en la lluvia, featured as the best comic book publication in Spain. Alessandro lives and works in Siena, Italy, with his wife and two daughters, and a crazy cat.
