Edgar Allan Poe (19 January 1809 - 7 October 1849) was an American poet and novelist best known for his gothic tales of mystery. Alex A. Blum was an illustrator best known for his tremendous contributions to the Classics Illustrated series. He illustrated 25 titles within that series, as well as the debut title to the Classics Illustrated Junior series - "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Jim Wilcox was an illustrator whose work includes the section "The Tell-Tale Heart" from the Classics Illustrated issue, "The Gold Bug and Other Stories".
