Jean Van Hammewas born in 1939 in Belgium. His major breakthrough came in 1977, when he created the Viking heroThorgalfor Grzegorz Rosinski. The mix of medieval legends and heroic fantasy soon became a huge success, with major awards following. He is also the creator of the bestselling series Largo Winchand XIII(published in English by Cinebook). Belgian artist Dany(Daniel Henrotin) started in comics as assistant to Mitt on Ric Hochet. Later he joined the studio of prolific author Greg, who entrusted him with his latest character, Olivier Rameau, to resounding success.
