At the funeral of old Badd, everybody is moved except for Ready, who has waited for the 100-year-old man's death for a long time - he wants to buy his ranch. Unfortunately for Ready the old man has an heir, Waldo, a 'tenderfoot' who arrives straight from his native England accompanied by his butler Jasper. Two worlds clash: the refined ancient and the new, deeply- rustic way of life.
The character of Lucky Luke became a legend thanks to Morris (his creator) and Goscinny. These two giants of the 9th art collaborated with passion for more than 20 years until the death of the famous scriptwriter. Rene Goscinny (Lucky Luke, Asterix, Iznogoud, le Petit Nicolas) is one of the most-read French authors in the world. Approximately 500 million copies of his books have been sold.In 1992, Morris received the "Grand Prix Special 20eme Anniversaire" from the international comics show at Angouleme, and in 1998, the French Minister of Culture decorated him with the rank of "Officier des Arts et des Lettres."
