After Ran finally awakens from her long slumber, she discovers the terrible news about Otaro, and her sorrow sends the whole town of Haimachi into tears. As she works toward accepting the tragedy, she ponders how she can become a stronger sorceress, even if it means leaving her home and the people she loves
Aki Irie was born in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. She began her professional career as a manga artist in 2002 with the short story Fuku-chan Tabi Mata Tabi (Fuku-chan on the Road Again), which was published in the monthly manga magazine Papu. Ran and the Gray World, her first full-length series, is also the first of her works to be released in English.
