Alcante won a Spirou Magazine script-writing competition in1995. From 2002, his short comics were published regularly in Spirou. Pandora Box is his first series. He was inspired by fairy tales and legends from all over the world and his influences range from Van Hamme to Alan Moore. Didier Pagot has also illustrated a Heroic Fantasy series, Les Traine-Tenebres, written by Brice Tarvel and published by Soleil Productions. In 2002, he joined Les Humanoides Associes and worked on the Fides series alongside Anne Ploy and Loic Malnati.
