This heartfelt book of wisdom offers a comforting shoulder to anyone looking for advice on how to process loss. In a text loosely guided by the stages of grief, author Dana Shields, who lost her brother in a plane crash, shares her insight and offers comfort and companionship to readers in mourning. Things Ive Learned About Loss is a beacon of hope for readers aching to find a new normal. Presented in a petite, upliftingpackage, this is a thoughtful gift for anyone struggling with their own loss.
Dana Shields lost her twenty-six-year-old brother, Jeb, in a plane crash in 1991. Ten years later, on 9/11, she lost a childhood friend. Dana sent her friends grieving family a sweet booklet with notes on her experience of grief and loss as a means to help. What started as a single bereavement note turned into a colourful, mini booklet that was in high demand in her community. Dana is a designer and lives in Menlo Park, CA, with her family. This is her first book.
