Description

25 Women Who Survived Cancer is an inspiring book of hard-won truths about what it means to survive cancer. In more than 20 personal essays, notable women such as Robin Roberts, Joan Lunden, Fran Drescher, Alice Hoffman, Barbara Delinsky, Shonda Schilling, Brbara Padilla, Sylvia McNair, and Marissa Jaret Winokur write with moving candor as they describe facing cancer and not letting it define their lives or conquer their spirit. They write about receiving their diagnosis, learning how to cope, dealing with body image and sexuality, and discovering what having cancer has taught them. This collection includes the experiences of women who have survived breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and malignant melanoma. 25 Women Who Survived Cancer is an uplifting book of hope for anyone who has survived or is being treated for cancer. All royalties from the sale of this book will be donated to cancer research and prevention.
