Description

When it comes to fighting anxiety, you have more control than you think. Were in the middle of a global anxiety epidemic, but in Calm Your Mind With Food, Dr Uma Naidoo gives you the tools to take back control, walking you through how a combination of practice, an understanding of how the brain works and a diet that creates a strong foundation for mental health will allow you to overcome your anxiety. Recent research has shown that the gut, brain and immune system are surprisingly connected; few people realise that we have an immune system in our gut, and it greatly affects our mental health, specifically our tendency towards anxiety. In this ground-breaking study, Dr Naidoo reveals how treating anxiety requires a full-body approach. Food can be an indispensable tool in improving mental health, and all of us can combine healthy ingredients into delicious, nourishing, anxiety-busting meals. Here, Dr Naidoo reveals the anxiety superfoods and the foods we should avoid, as well as providing mouth-watering recipes, helping us become immune to anxiety. The power is at the end of your fork.
