Dr. Martha Clare Morris was the Assistant Provost for Community Research and the Director of the Rush Institute for Healthy Aging and the MIND Center for Brain Health at Rush University in Chicago. She received her doctorate in epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and served as the Principal Investigator of multiple studies that investigate dietary risk factors for the development of Alzheimer's disease, cognitive decline, and other common chronic conditions of older people.Laura Morris, Dr. Morris s daughter, is a personal trainer, nutrition consultant, and professionally trained chef who has worked with a variety of age groups and special populations, including elite athletes, cancer patients, and even public personalities.Jennifer Ventrelle, MS, is a registered dietitian, a certified personal trainer, certified in adult weight management, and a certified mindfulness-based stress reduction trainer. She currently directs the lifestyle programs for a multi-site trial of the impact of lifestyle on remission of the metabolic syndrome, and serves as the lead dietitian for a multi-site trial of the impact of diet on the prevention of Alzheimer s disease and for the Road Home Program for returning veterans and their families.
