She is married with two children and now lives in Canada, where, for more than fifteen years, sheworked in the department of Psychiatry caring for clients with a wide range of stress-related ailments. Stella studied Hatha Yoga in Vancouver and went on tobecome an instructor. She has published a large number of books including Yoga Beats Asthma, Complete Yoga, Yoga Box, The Breath Book, Well Being forWomen, Yoga Therapy, Pain-Free Periods and Easy Pregnancy with Yoga.
