Description

This is a true story about a foreign adoption. It involves a battle of wills, seemingly insurmountable obstacles, and undeniable faith. God planted a seed that changed my life forever. I had never dreamed of adopting a child, much less a child from a foreign country. I enjoyed my comfortable life with my husband and eight year old son. I had a great career. All was going well in my life until God intervened. It all started with a question posed by my son after we had watched a 20/20 episode about Russian Orphanages. He asked, "Why can't we go get one of those kids" My comfortable life was about to spin into the unknown. From that point forward, I learned what 'blind faith' is all about. I gave up all control and trusted God with everything. My husband and I travelled half-way around the world to Ukraine. We had no clue what we were doing. I questioned God and even asked for specific things to happen just to make sure He was really telling me to do this. And God always answered my requests! He left me with no excuses. I finally turned it all over to Him and watched as He led us on this incredible journey.
