We are connected ...to our families, friends, co-workers and others in our universe. We are connected to nature and the world around us. We are connected to spiritual, environmental, historical and political environments. Our interconnectedness shapes us into the beings that we are. This book of poetry and photography was created by a mother and son as they lived through the COVID 19 pandemic. They worked on the book from different places and with different perspectives. An interesting project for both and through this there personal connections have grown!
Elizabeth Totten has been writing since she could hold a pencil in her hand. She hopes that her poetry speaks to others. Totten and her husband raised their children in a small house on a dead end road in Central New York. There, she makes connections with the world around her. Jake Totten is a botanist and amateur photographer. He is passionate about ferns and loves learning about them and capturing them in photographs. He lives on a farm in Maine near Acadia National Park with his dog and a small flock of chickens.
