Author Bio

Jay P. Granat, Ph.D., is a Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist and Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor. Dr. Granat has counseled thousands of individuals, couples and families during the last thirty years. He has coached many people through the divorce, separation, healing, dating and mating process. After the passing of his wife, he, himself, utilized online dating to discover a companion who was right for him.

A former university professor, Dr. Granat has written a weekly column for five newspapers and has appeared in many major media outlets including: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, The International Herald Tribune, The BBC, The New York State Bar Journal, Legal Economics, USA Today, The Bergen Record, The New York Post, The Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, New York Magazine, ESPN, Golf Digest, Success Magazine, and others.

Granat earned his Master's degree and Ph.D. in Counseling from The University of Michigan. His undergraduate work was completed at The State University Of New York At Buffalo. He has written six books and developed a dozen self-help audio programs and video programs.
