Description

Establish an Aha! moment in your marriage to get unstuck, love each other how God designed, and build a long-lasting, healthy relationship. With over twenty-five years of experience, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, New York Times bestselling author of Love & Respect, shares twelve powerful truths described as "lightbulb moments"breakthrough realizations that can change your relationship forever.

In marriage, ignorance is not bliss. It's frustrating. Especially when you feel like you've tried everything and nothing seems to change. Perhaps your marriage needs a lightbulb moment.

Many couples have goodwill and long for marital satisfaction, but they still feel stuck. They repeat the same arguments, cycle through the same frustrations, and are unsure how to move forward. They long for something to change for the better but, at conflicted moments, feel in the dark about how.

You've read books, spoken up, held back, prayed, and still your spouse doesn't seem to get it. And then there are instances when you say to yourself, It must be me.

That's where this book comes in.

Each chapter captures a memorable, life-giving truth that couples did not see before. For example:

  • "Not Wrong, Just Different Shades of Right" A fresh lens for resolving recurring conflict that many couples overlook as they get stuck voicing frustration.
  • "My Response Is My Responsibility" A call to a new understanding of what frees and empowers us to influence our spouse.
  • "Not Communication, But Mutual Understanding" A reframe that clarifies what couples really need when they're trying to be heard.
  • "Motivating, Not Manipulating" A powerful insight into what energizes and influences the heart of a spouse, and what silently shuts it down.
  • "Hollywood or the Holy Word" A surprising realization about the script we follow, and whether our expectations are shaped by reel love or real love.

Sometimes, all it takes is one lightbulb moment to change everything, and the most successful couples say these twelve Biblical illuminations were the ones they wish they had known sooner.

Perfect for every couplefrom newlyweds to those decades inthese aren't generic tips, but biblically based, creatively worded practical truths that stick with couples and aid in their experience of breakthroughs, almost instantly. The "Aha moment", if you will.
