Description

A road map to having a vibrant, long-term love affair.

Marriage is an exercise in busy. Its notby any stretch of the imaginationa spontaneous experience. Unlike the dating years, when we willingly flung every responsibility to the wind to be in our lovers arms, marriage conspires to pull us earth-bound, distracting us from love with weighty responsibilities, insistent duties, and insane time pressures. Weve got jobs and family obligations. Weve got dinners to make, a house to vacuum, laundry to do, yard work, and when you add kids to the equation, the to-do list grows exponentially. How can we maintain an amorous life through all of the crazy, pressure-filled marital stuff we live through each week

Naked Marriage covers all of the topics that we need to have a healthy, intimate, and sexual life:

Clear strategies for our money, parenting, and lifestyle choices, so financial and family pressures dont block our pathway to the bedroom

Author JoAnneh Nagler offers practical strategies to get the gifts of marriageintimacy, sex, closenessinto your hearts, hands, souls, and bodies. Nagler, who shares the story of losing the love of her life and then getting him back years later, shows you the steps to create passion in a busy life. The strategies dont require a lot of heavy lifting or intensive archeological therapizing, and theres no need to dig up the past. Theyre simple, short, and sweet.

Reviews

"JoAnneh Naglers Naked Marriage invites couples to strip down and successfully tackle the most notoriously troubling parts of married life with quick, practical, and proven tools that promote easy connection and maintain oh-so elusive physical intimacy." Carolyn Evans, MSW, author of Forty Beads: The Simple Sexy Secret for Transforming Your Marriage and founder of Couplosity.com

"Naked Marriage is a brand new twist on intimacy. The upshot: our sensual learning never stops. This book is a must-read for anyone beginning or already in a long term relationship." Lewis Wyatt, M.D., author of No More Clueless Sex

Nagler infuses exquisite sensitivity with courageous honesty in this wise counsel about the most intimate matters confronted in marriage. Rather than a guidebook for falling in love, Naked Marriage implores the willingness necessary for staying in love. Rabbi Peter J. Rubinstein, Director of Jewish Community and Bronfman Center for Jewish Life, 92nd Street Y

"Although a plethora of books offer the alluring but ultimately false promise of eternal marital bliss, Nagler actually delivers a sensible, engaging, and remarkably pleasurable blueprint for creating intimacy in our long-term relationships." David A. Levy, professor of psychology, Pepperdine University

In Naked Marriage, JoAnneh Nagler writes: 'Marriage does not lend itself to spontaneous, unplanned acts of regular loving, and it is masterful at distracting us from intimacy.' What to do about these truisms besides shake our heads ruefully Nagler tells us in simple, direct, easy-to-put-into-practice suggestions which really work. I recommend this book to everyone who wants their long-term relationship to remain satisfyingly wonderful. Ms. Nagler will show you that hers has, and yours can, too. Isadora Alman, MFT, CST, author of What People Keep Asking Me About Sex and Relationships

"Having been an attorney for over thirty-five years in the world of family law and the dissolution of marriages, I found Naglers book to provide proactive and provocative tools for couples who want to rediscover and sustain a relationship full of devotion, respect, kindness, and life-long love." Amy Rodney, family law attorney
Naked Marriage exposes our most intimate vulnerabilities and then leads us to a warm, non-threatening instruction on sensual partnership. We all know the challenges we face in marriage, so I deeply appreciated JoAnnehs step-by-step approach, keeping strategies simple and offering personalized, loving assistance. Though the book focuses on intimacy, many of the practices will work for other life challenges, too, but probably best to wear clothes for those. I loved this book! Samantha Krawitzky, M.D.
