This book grew out of a seminar they were asked to lead with their adult daughter and her husband.

Gerald W. Kaufman, MSW, and L. Marlene Kaufman, MSW, have both been career family therapists in private practice. Their specialty has been family issues, including aging and end of life. They have four children and eleven grandchildren.
