My second poetry collection, the follow up to "In Defense of Science", tells the story of inner transformation.
I thought for months about putting this out into the ether for others to consume, and decided that yes, we need this.
She needs this.
He needs this.
They need this.
We all need to be heard.
So, if you'll indulge me one moment, I'll tell you the story of using your own healing as a method of taking your life by the reigns.

And while I'm not fully healed yet, that is simply because healing is not linear. Healing is a lifelong journey, and I'm so glad I'm here for it. Life is as equally beautiful as it is cruel, and I'm here for each and every delicious drop of water, ray of sun, and cheesy ending line of a poetry book description.
