"Lama Sherab Dorje offers us an accurate and highly readable translation of this masterwork of Kagyu Buddhism . . . a text that deserves to be studied in depth."Matthew Kapstein, author of The Tibetans
"The Mahamudra Prayer is one of the fundamental texts and practices of the Kagyu lineage. And here is a concise powerful exposition of every part of it by one of the regents of the lineage. . . . Reading and rereading it a little each day alongside recitation of the prayer itself may greatly enrich your practice by providing glimpses of the goal."Thar Lam
Also known as Tulku Sherdor, Lama Sherab Dorje is the executive director of Blazing Wisdom Institute and the founder of the Rimay Monlam Peace Prayer Gathering in the United States. He met his first principal teacher, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, in Nepal in 1981 and was fortunate to study personally with, and interpret for, many other preeminent Tibetan masters of the twentieth century. He has completed many years of intensive and traditional retreat practice and now teaches dharma around the world, fulfilling the instructions of His Holiness Orgyen Kusum Lingpa.
