With advice on career, relationships, work/life balance and general outlook, Common-Sense Wisdom brings new meaning to the term 'holistic approach' in personal development and growth. From ancient thinkers to modern-day business leaders, de Callier has sourced wisdom from every era and profession - Socrates, Confucius, Jack Ma, Stephen Covey, Queen Latifah, Sheryl Sandberg, Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein and Mohammed Ali to name just a few. For over fifty years, Pepper de Callier has been collecting quotes. But not just any quotes. Throughout his research and engagement with people as the founder and Executive Director of Prague Leadership Institute, he has identified quotes that have changed lives. Drawn from the world's greatest writers, thinkers and leaders from across the ages, and illuminated by Pepper's insights as one of Europe's preeminent career and life coaches, Common-Sense Wisdom- A Trusted Companion for your Life and Career Journey has the power to trigger self-awareness, honest reflection, and the compass points to help you find your own direction. Whether you are a CEO, recent graduate, or working your way through the normal ups and downs of personal and professional growth, these common-sense insights will help you view challenges and opportunities in a whole new way, and turn around even the most difficult of days.
Born and raised in the farmland of the Midwestern United States, Pepper became interested in leadership, human potential, and common sense at age seven.
He became a senior advisor to the former President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel, founding the Prague Leadership Institute, writing a syndicated column on leadership in the financial dailies of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and co-founding Aspen Institute Central Europe.
He was voted Best Corporate Leadership Coach-Europe by London-based AI Media.
Having had a somewhat unusual life experience-high school drop-out, barber, insurance salesman, magazine publisher, graduating university (finally!), becoming a partner in the world's respected executive search firm, advising leaders around the world, retiring at age 55, moving to Europe - Pepper has seen life, and people, from a number of different perspectives and learned first-hand the value of common sense (sometimes painfully).
Today, Pepper lives in Prague.
