Having served as the president of a large evangelical entity, he has also served as a pastor of a 4,500-plus member church. He is currently the president of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. A popular national speaker, his speaking schedule has taken him around the world. With a master of divinity and PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he is also the author of several books including Trouble with the Tulip, Jonah (for The New American Commentary), The Incredible Shrinking Church, Commentary on Mark, The Witnessing and Giving Life, and has served as the lead writer for the Advanced Continuing Witness Training materials. Page currently resides in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife, Dayle.
