"The Practice Sutras" applies the concepts and ideas in the ancient text "The Yoga Sutras" to the creation of works of art. Artists and creatives in every medium and walk of life encounter many obstacles on their journey, and through their work express and share with the world the depth of their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Throughout the first part of the book, the reader will encounter threads of ancient wisdom on topics such as Finding your True Artistic Path and Vision, Self-Awareness, The Artist's Mindset, Choices, Sources of Inspiration, Practice, and many more. In each chapter, there is an "action assignment" that the reader can use to apply the concepts in an artistic way to their life as a creative, and to daily life in the world. In the second part of the book are selected longer topics that dive deeper into important topics such as Finding true purpose, adopting an unfettered mind, making practice more fun, managing time, and beating frustration, burnout, and overwhelm.
