Description

For business professionals seeking success and purpose, cancer survivors, individuals with disabilities who feel marginalized, or anyone facing lifes challenges and wanting stronger coping skills, The Resilience Mindset offers an actionable framework to overcome adversity and create a more fulfilling life.

Everyone, every day, is fighting a hard battle. By its very nature, adversity delivers a blow to our well-being emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual eroding our self-confidence and self-esteem. But the human spirit is strong, and it is practical and wise not to underestimate ourselves. In telling his personal story of adversity, Terry Healey provides insight into life events that rock our world and shows how he found purpose, renewed confidence, and success.

Having experienced a harrowing ordeal with a life-threatening cancer that left him with a permanent facial difference at the age of 21, Healey found a way to harness daily inspirations into key turning points that enabled him to create a framework of four key principles to not only manage adversity whenever confronted with it but to learn how to create a better, more fulfilling life whether personal or professional because of it. Healeys four principles are invaluable to individuals and to anyone leading teams within organizations.

Coping with adversity is one thing, but thriving is another. To thrive, we must find happiness, success, and purpose by developing ways to build resilience, strengthen our resolve, and rebuild self-confidence so that we become unstoppable.

In addition to telling Healeys own harrowing story, The Resilience Mindset offers evidence-backed research and stories from others who overcame seemingly insurmountable odds, providing more than just inspiration: It equips readers with the tools to take on obstacles, big and small, leading to a more fulfilling life at home and at work.
