Inside Working Assets, you will find:

Specific job-hunting strategies for people living with mental illnesses.
Detailed insight on creating a resume, interviewing, and navigating the workplace once hired.
Advice on requesting a reasonable accommodation under the ADA Act if needed.
Peer-endorsed tactics for managing your mental health on the job.
Thoughts on achieving a fulfilled life using your hard-earned cash.

From volunteer work to office jobs and non-traditional careers Working Assets covers the bases. A spectrum of options exists for finding the work that is the right fit for you.

Reviews

Christina Bruni's voice is instructive and compassionate. The mixture of memoir/self-help/how-to works well. I am a member of Fountain House. I can picture this book on our shelves at the Clubhouse. Not only does it seek to offer practical advice; it could also open doors for people, doors they thought were closed for good. And quite possibly restore hope.
-- Robert Philip Crane

Christina Bruni, a leader in the mental health community, offers an educated perspective. Her writing style is approachable and warm, succinct, and directive. Working Assets has the power to change lives.
-- Sarah Gaffey, L.C.S.W.
Working Assets meets the reader where they are in the job search with respect to recovery. As a peer in recovery, I gained insight from the stories and resources, which educated me about personal common mistakes and how to move forward in the workplace. Christina covers a wide range of scenarios, topics, and concerns to empower peers.
-- Ashley Smith, blog author of Overcoming Schizophrenia, and author of What's on My Mind Volume I and What's on My Mind Coping Takes Work, Volume II.
