Dr Thompson now workswith universities across the UK on their mental health strategies, as well as providing training touniversity staff. She was named Bristol Healthcare Professional of the Year 2017. In 2019 she wasnominated as one of the Top 100 West Women of the Year. Dominique has helped design apps andwebsites to support student mental health and writes books on the topic. She has been interviewedwidely, including byThe Guardianand BBC Radio 4sTodayprogramme. Her books are written withthe aim of helping young people and their parents to feel more supported when dealing with stress,gaining independence and resilience.
