Author Bio

Colin was conceived on a trail in the Rocky Mountains, while his parents trekked by mule with his older sister, brother and family dog in tow. Upon awareness of the pregnancy, his parents abandoned their trek and made a bee-line to Boise, Idaho, the nearest place with a proper hospital and friends who could help them. They lived in a converted school bus camper, on a friend's property, during his birth and the few months his mother needed for recovery before splitting up and going thier separate ways. His mother took he and his siblings to live with friends on old hippy commune grounds, shortly outside of Mount Vernon, Washington, while his father setup a teepee on a gold claim near Idaho City, Idaho. Colin and his brother, Dane, were shuttled back and forth between these locations for his formative years, until just before their mother died of uterine cancer, when he was seven. From that point on, they were raised by his single father, in Boise, until he wandered away into a street-vagabond life, living in his camper van or surfing the couches of various friends. After high school, Colin moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where he met his wife, Eleanor, and where his three children were born. Together, they moved to Florida, where they remained for several years before making their way to Oregon. They purchased their family property, in the small town of Columbia City, where they still reside. Most summer days, Colin may be found kiteboarding the Columbia River with his sea lion and eagle friends but if you should sail on by in your boat, you might just catch a high five from him on the water!(No value selected)
