Description

For the human who feels like their world has been shattered, doesnt believe in it will get better when, and is ready to heal and understand how to truly love life again.

What if you allow your greatest challenges and heartaches to become your greatest lessons, gifts, and opportunities Perhaps you are navigating a divorce, breakup, loss of identity, infertility, loss of a parent or family member, severed friendship, miscarriage, or, in the case of Melissa Dlugolecki, the loss of a child. Every person will inevitably have to navigate grief, heartache, and painful experiences through life, but not every person will unlock the power within them to grow. This is what Melissa Dlugolecki teaches in Grounded by Grief: Navigate Struggle, Grief, and Trauma Without Toxic Positivity. Through her personal stories, case studies of hundreds of clients, and real world experiences, Dlugolecki provides a robust set of tools to help transition you from feeling disempowered and lost in grief to feeling clear and empowered in how grief impacts your life, and how you can heal and grow from it.

After losing her daughter at four months old, Dlugolecki discovered a gap in the space that provided real, raw, and effective tools to navigate grief. She explores why the traditional five stages of grief and seven categories of grief are misleading and expands on how both are commonly misunderstood. In doing so, she shows that there is no hierarchy in grief and teaches the most powerful lessons that not only changed her life, but the lives of hundreds of her clients. Dlugolecki is on a mission to show others how to empower themselves through these hardships without toxic positivity or waiting for things to get better.

Grounded by Grief is a book that will guide you to reclaim your power and happiness, regardless of the circumstances. Within these pages, you are invited to go to new places in your healing journey.

Author Bio

After growing up in Boston, Massachusetts, and living most of her life there, Melissa Dlugolecki took a 10-day trip to Tulum, Mexico, bought a house and spends most of her time there, by the beach, working and connecting with the community of digital nomads. She loves traveling. is an author, public speaker, host of Grief and Gutsa podcast rated in the top 3 percent globally, and a bereaved mother. After losing her daughter, Leyden, and finding herself $100,000 in debt, she began studying healing modalities, mindset supports, and the actual psychology around the experience of grief. Identifying a massive gap in tangible and effective supports around how to navigate the pain and trauma of grief, she committed her work to educate others on widening the definition of grief to go beyond just death to include daily grievances that transpire such as a job loss, relationship ending, or children moving out of the home. After applying these tools to her own life, Melissa got out of debt, bought a home minutes from the ocean, left her teaching career, built multiple seven-figure businesses, and has been writing, coaching, and speaking ever since.
