As a psychologist who has worked with a variety of populations throughout America, I understand the universality of depression, anxiety, and pain. Additionally I admit I have burned out in serving the multitude of populations and being emotional caretaker to my family and loved ones. During this time period I worked with active duty marines and sailors, while living in Hawaii. The Fragrance of Wanderlust is a self help book that focuses on 40 tips one can do to live life as a tourist in their hometown. This self help book explores how living life as a tourist in your own backyard can be as effective as any daily meditation. The Fragrance of Wanderlust serves as a mindfulness project that I prescribed myself, and encourage others to replicate. Each day focuses on a day's theme on how one can live life through the eyes of a tourist. The beginning of the sections begin with a travel quote and ends with reflective questions or homework assignments for readers to engage in their own journey throughout the 40 days.
