This book of poetry that was inspired by Melania Trump covers various subjects. Some of the poems are somewhat political in nature; some poems deal with self-esteem issues and poor self-image, and, of course, love. It's a rather unusual compilation because it was written by a poet who never met Mrs. Trump, but one who has admired her from a distance. Being The First Lady of any president can be extremely difficult and emotionally taxing, especially due to the vitriolic nature of politics. I think Mrs. Trump may have fared worse than most First Ladies because she is married to Donald Trump, a man who has dramatically upset the Washington, D.C. apple cart; I think most civil people would agree that this isn't quite fair, but it is a price she has paid. My primary objective in writing this book was to alert people to their own personal vulnerabilities and to exhort people not to judge one another for any reason, especially those they disagree with. As trite as it sounds, love is the answer, and we ought to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

Author Bio

I am a self-published author of five books of poetry, two novels, and two books of short stories. I have been writing for forty years, basically on a part-time basis. I manage a health club in Tarpon Springs, Florida. I've been at Total Fitness for 31 years. I graduated from Youngstown State University in 1968. I did my graduate work at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. I am married with two grown daughters, and I have two grandchildren. I am originally from Pittsburgh, and I am, obviously, a big fan of The Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Most importantly, at least to me, is that I am a born-again Christian and Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Other than these rather boring facts, I love books!
