Martin Thomas is Professor of History at the Australian National University. He has won numerous prizes, including the National Biography Award for The Many Worlds of R.H. Mathews, and Australian Book Review's Calibre Prize for his essay, 'Because It's Your Country' (2013). He has also co-produced an award-winning documentary, Etched in Bone, and produced and broadcast for ABC radio.
