Author Bio

G. A. Henty was a prolific English writer and war correspondent. He was born December 8th in England, and spent most of his childhood in bed battling various illnesses. After attending University, Henty accepted an offer to be a special correspondent during the Crimean War. During his career as a writer he wrote and published more than 120 works of historical fiction, claiming most of his fame for his adventure stories which include The Cat of Bubastes, In Freedoms Cause, and Wulf the Saxon. He passed away in November of 1902.
