Description

This account of Roy's life was edited by his son Ron from Roy's journal which is a reconstruction of Roy's original war diary. Diaries written by men in the front line were forbidden and often confiscated because of military censorship. The journal used as the basis for this book was written later, soon after the war, probably on board the ship home to Australia. Roy died aged 92 in 1989.
