Cha McCoy, MBA, is an entrepreneur, educator, and Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. She took the wine world by storm when she launched The Communion wine dinner series, an inviting, accessible approach to gathering and enjoying wine, which inspired her first brick-and-mortar, The Communion Wine & Spirits located in Syracuse, NY. The dinner series was profiled inFood & Wineand Cha was named one ofWine Enthusiasts 40 Under 40. As a tastemaker in wine, Cha has earned coveted positions such as Cherry Bombes first Beverage Director, launching the Cherry Bombe Drinks vertical, and the Head of Beverage for the Charleston Wine + Food Festival. Today, she educates and mentors new wine drinkers at her alma mater Syracuse University as an Adjunct Professor. She currentlysplits her time between Harlem in NYC and Syracuse, NY.
