While editing information regarding histories of all Civil owned Mustangs, an idea was born to cover the individual histories of every P-51 Mustang that is or was in a non-flying display. Many examples in national museums or privately held museums. This book highlights the history of every one of these Mustangs with hundreds of great photos. some have been or are held in civil hands and some have never been civally registered. It contains lots of bonus information about these aircraft and P-51's in general. There has never been a book that covers this info so thoroughly.

Author Bio

Dick Phillips has been a historian photographing Mustangs since 1966. He has had hundreds of photos and articles published in books and magazines worldwide. He has been regarded as the most knowledgeable Mustang historian.

Mark Phillips, Dick's son, has been photographing aircraft (mostly warbirds) his entire life. A retired Air-traffic controller now an A&P restoring warbirds, learned about civil Mustangs from attending many airshows worldwide.
