After reading a book about the Wright Brothers, after learning that there were two other brothers and a sister in their immediate family, Jay Woodard decided there might be a lot of other famous people in history that had siblings. This began an eight-month research project, culminating in the completed book. Woodard feels he has benefitted immensely from the experience, as learned about people he really knew little about other than their famous names. And of course, he learned about siblings that existed but were probably unknown to history.
This is Jay Woodard's 7th book. He retired from a career in industrial real estate in 2000. In his life he has been a magician, a master scuba diver, and a sometime mountain climber (the biggest was Kilimanjaro). He and his wife live in Texas, and they have two children and five grandchildren, all living in Texas too. His wife came from England, so have been there, usually with the kids, over 30 round trips. Side trips took them to Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Russia.
