The first edition of this title was published by UWP in 1995 under the name "Newspaper Spanish". The aim of this book is to provide an up-to-date guide to current mainland Spanish vocabulary as it is found in the contemporary press and media. The range of examples are drawn from newspapers, internet, journals and television. In addition, words relating to semi-specialised areas such as the legal sphere, banking and finance, administration, commerce and politics are also included.
Charles M. Kelley is Lecturer in the School of European Studies, University of Wales, Cardiff.
