Description

This textbook helps you to master Japanese conversational skills within a short period. Unlike other language programs, the curriculum is organized into phonetic elements for fast learning. A key advantage of this textbook is its powerful tool to conjugate more than 10,000 verbs correctly and automatically by simply memorizing the table of 19 model verbs. You will conjugate a significant number of words by continuously synthesizing new materials and merging what you learned before with additional resources. The content covers greetings, introductions, directions, shopping, employment, school and work, and time expressions among other selected topics. It is important to highlight that the differentiation between formal, informal, and super-polite conversation styles, often viewed as complex by students, is organized in a straightforward chart. This chart simplifies the understanding of the distinctions among the various styles of communication. The program begins with 30 lessons, thirty-seven grammatical notes and drilling methods, followed by another 30 lessons in the second volume of the kanji course. Our expert content is suitable for high school students as well as corporate business professionals

Author Bio

Tatsuya Nagashima (1934 2006) pioneered innovative Japanese language teaching methods. He utilized his deep knowledge of Latin to reorganize verbs into a morphological schematization known as 19 model verbs, enabling learners to conjugate over 10,000 Japanese verbs correctly by memorizing just 19 verbs. He founded a language institute, Pana-lingua institute, that was one of the few Japanese language schools in Tokyo at that time. Additionally, he served as a professor of English literature and language teaching methods at several universities, including Meiji University, Tokushima University, and the University of Shikoku.
Hideko Nagashima (1961 - ) founded an online language school, SWACIA, and instructs Japanese
at Westchester Community College, White Plains, New York. She established SWACIA in response to
requests from the Japanese government, focusing on educational materials and revising the textbook
originally created by her late father. She has edited and published the 6th and 7th editions of the
Romaji Course. This innovative method allows students to learn the language ten times faster,
approximately in 7 months, compared to the average time of 6 years to master conversation skills,
depending on the time dedicated to studying. The curriculum was updated when the organization
moved to the United States in 2018, and subsequently, the company transitioned to a profit-making
entity and established an online school in the United States.
