A nice grammar... I like how quickly it introduces the biblical text to the reader.Eagerness to read the Bible in its original languages shows no sign of abating. The endeavour can, however, be daunting and opportunities for studying Biblical Hebrew in educational settings are shrinking. Other courses, including online ones, are available but often very costly. This book, consequently, fulfils an important service. Sarah Nicholson's extensive and enthusiastic teaching experience shines through this Teach Yourself text. It is almost as though hearing her voice leading the student through the logically ordered, clearly explained succession of explanations and exercises. A text book like this is the next best thing to a 'live' class. I will be referring to and recommending this text. - Johanna Stiebert, Professor of Hebrew Bible (University of Leeds, UK)Dr. Sarah Nicholson is a lecturer in Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Glasgow.
