Author Bio

Joanna Michalak-Gray (born 1960 in Poland) started her career in 1980 as a tutor of English as a Foreign Language. Encouraged by her mentor, Joanna pursued studies of English language and literature at universities in Lublin and Poznan, while gaining practical experience in teaching students of all ages and at all levels.

In 1990, Joanna moved to the UK and started working as a Polish tutor, translator and interpreter. The lack of appropriate textbooks forced Joanna to write her own materials and develop a new approach to teaching Polish.
