The Yaprend Guided Journal for Spanish Language Learners is a guide to use as a supplemental learning tool that provides weekly prompts for learners to complete throughout the year.

As a person who has gone from having zero Spanish speaking skills to now near-native Spanish fluency, I know all about the journey and what it took for me to gain the results I desired as a learner of Spanish as a second language. I know what it's like to struggle with consistency and finally take your skills to the next level to reach your Spanish language learning goals.

I have been successful in achieving my language learning goals and going from being monolingual to gaining over 10 years of experience in teaching Spanish across all levels- from Spanish 1 to Spanish for Heritage Learners to AP Spanish Language and Literature. I deciced to share my process with others who have a desire to achieve the same results. I created this journal to help you hold yourself accountable and be consistent with your Spanish learning practice so that you can really achieve the level of fluency you desire.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced learner, each prompt can be completed by you according to your level. Within it, you will find several Spanish language-learning resources that are presented through engaging and thought-provoking prompts that you will be guided to complete over the course of 13 weeks. You will also find a Weekly Check-in page to be completed at the end of each week so that you can document your progress along the way.

This guided journal is undated so that you can begin your journey with Yaprend at any point in the year and document your progress according to your schedule. In addition to amazing and helpful online resources, you will find sentence starters, a few vocabulary resources for absolute beginners and a few empty conjugation charts you are encouraged to complete on your own according to your current needs at different points throughout the journal. You will also find a great variety of activities for you to engage in by yourself or with others to enhance your learning experience.

Christina Golson is a native English speaking, New York State Certified Spanish teacher with near-native fluency acquired from over 20 years of experience in cultural immersion and studying Spanish language, literature and culture. She has decided to leave the classroom to reach a broader audience by sharing her natural approach to gaining spanish fluency through culturally immersive practices and experiences.
